Use the time and temperature for the brand of iron on you are using.
Transfer vinyl to wood cricut.
Apply transfer tape to the front of the design.
Peel liner from transfer tape.
Peel up the plastic liner when it s still slightly warm.
Vinyl cut weeded and ready to transfer.
This is the vinyl mainly used to make custom tees at home with a magical cutting machine like the cricut.
As always you will want to mirror your design and cut with the good or shiny side down on the mat.
Make sure that the iron on has stuck before you move on.
Iron on vinyl or htv or heat transfer vinyl is a special vinyl that only sticks to the surface when the heat is applied unlike the adhesive vinyl.
Press firmly and be sure that the design has attached to the transfer tape.
Peel the design off of its backing.
Then weed away all excess htv.

I ve used it on both stained sealed wood the large one and untreated wood as in the title image with no issues.
Pick a design and cut out of heat transfer vinyl using your cricut machine.
If you are using regular adhesive vinyl you can use transfer tape for the vinyl.
Make the design by loading your vinyl onto the mat into the machine and pressing go.

Heat transfer vinyl isn t sticky itself but bonds to the material using a heat press or iron.
The downside of using htv is that sometimes the adhesive can leak around the edges of the decal.
Weed the design by removing any excess vinyl.
This makes it permanent either on fabric or you guessed it wood.
Place your heat transfer vinyl face down on the mat.
Mirror your design in design space and then cut using your cricut.
Use a pressing cloth or teflon sheet to help protect the wood around your design.
Htv on wood is a great solution if you want a special treatment like foil flock or glitter.
Apply the 651 vinyl as usual and then with a teflon sheet between your project and iron iron the decal for 10 15 seconds.
Iron each piece of vinyl on following the instructions from above on how to use iron on with wood.
If applied correctly htv can last forever through hundreds of washes.
